Lithology and Thickness

The lower, Bartang Fm (бартангская свита), is composed in the lower part of greenstone-altered albitephires, preserving relics of primary effusive rocks: andesites, andesite-basalts, basalts, diabases (500-1000 m). Above, greenstone tuffs, tuff conglomerates, tuff sandstones of quartz albitephires, soda liparites, and other acidic volcanic rocks lie (500-1500 m). The thickness of the Bartang Suite is 1000-2500 m.
